Join us for an exclusive look around the Royal Opera House open spaces and the new Linbury Theatre front and back stage. (OK.... New in the scheme of things!)

There will be a discussion with Tom Thompson (Linbury Technical Manager), Paul Fielder (ROH Lighting Systems) and Paul Roughton (Stage Electrics) talking about the highs and lows of managing a high profile UK venue rebuild.

PLEASE ENSURE YOU ARE ON TIME. SECURITY IS STRICT AND ALL MEMBERS NEED TO BE SIGNED IN, ISSUED PASSES AND HIGH VIS.

The ALPD is the professional body representing all those who work or are interested in the creation of lighting, video or projection design for live performance and events in the United Kingdom and around the world.Whether you are a Designer, production electrician, programmer or crew member, the ALPD aims to further the art and appreciation of creative lighting design and raise the professional status of lighting design as part of the creative process. Its members are drawn from across the fields of theatre (including Opera and Dance), Rock and Roll, corporate presentations and events, education, television, architecture and manufacturing.

The ALPD is the mouthpiece of the performance lighting industry and a resource for information on the wide range of lighting design topics that affect designers in all areas of the lighting profession. It also provides a resource and forum for the discussion and development of artistic and creative lighting aims in the as well as create an understanding of the process involved in lighting design and how changing technology assists this.
